Our goal for the project, was to echo the experience of visiting the Avamposto residence. The Farm Bottle, from Estal, with its natural green hue from 100% recycled PCR glass, is engraved on the back side to offer a tactile experience. The illustration is an accurate depiction of the valley, loosely inspired by John James Audubon's natural illustrations.

For the label, we were inspired by the beautifully intricate, while also vernacular, 18th Century paper prayer cards, typically carrying portraits of saints and religious symbology. The rich combination of cut-outs and sculptured embossing required a state-of-the-art execution, pushing the limits of what a label production (on a roll) can deliver.

The branded natural cork add a humble feel, sealed with a thread and a metallic coin, creating a memorable opening and an interesting contrast to the rich label artwork.

Inspired by the military history of the place, we also created a wooden container to house each bottle sealed by a label, produced on a lathe similar to Matryoshka dolls, offering protection from the light and giving each bottle a unique and reusable case.
